Hi, i am wondering if there is a way that we can hack jotform such that it can function like a tracking system for us to track the number of hours a person spends on a project.

We can setup the person's details first in the system and then a link gets sent to him/her to update along the course of the project.

    Thanks

    Jeanette

Do you mean to say that you want to track how much time one user takes to submit form?

I would suggest you to please take a look at our "Time Tracker" widget and see if it fits into your requirement. This widget will not be displayed in form but anonymously track how much time user takes to submit form and display in your form's submission.

The following guide should help you how to add widget in form:   https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-Your-Form

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

Hi, not really. My intention is to use jot form like a tracking form for a user to input new projects on a regular basis. so the user will use back the same form repeatedly.

I am not sure if I have understood your requirement correctly. Please explain your requirement a bit more in detail with an example and we will try to help you.

We will wait for your response.

the scenario i am looking at is to use jotform as volunteer mgmt. system.

I have 10 volunteers volunteering for a charity. I will need each volunteer to use jotform to update the same jotform whenever he/she does an hour of volunteer work at the charity.

Do you mean to say that you want to use same form by each volunteer or you want the same submission to be edited by each volunteer?

You can create a form with desired form field and allow user to submit the same form by taking advantage of "Edit link" feature.
