I checked that box and submitted a test submission and the email did not include it, although it is showing in the website gui. I need it in the email.

Hello @rhinestone - Is this perhaps related to your existing thread here:

    https://www.jotform.com/answers/1768090

If it is, please ignore this email and continue your correspondence with us on the thread linked above to avoid confusion. Otherwise, share the name and URL of your form and tell us what you're referring to in the following:

I checked that box and submitted a test submission and the email did not include it, although it is showing in the website gui. I need it in the email.

For now, I'll just assume you're talking about the TEXT FIELDS in your form since these are not included by default in all email templates and PDFs. To include it in your emails, you have to manually paste the actual texts of the text field. Only input fields are included in the email body by default.

And for the PDF and submissions page, you can enable it by following the guide below.

I am not talking about a text field.  I need the ip address in the submission email.

If you like to include the IP address of your respondent to your notification email, you can use the Get Visitor Location widget. This widget can take all the location details you want.

Then go to your email notification to edit the template and put a label to the widget.

But my previously created forms did not need that add-in to get the ip address.  Take a look at this form which already emails me the ip address: 50607744597162

Sorry for the confusion. You can just add {ip} to your email notification template to get the IP address of your users.

Here's a screencast how to do it:
