I want to edit my PDF and show the response for a certain path

how do I edit the pfd?   I created one call "Submissions" and it switched out the pages.   When I change it, it seems to change the form and I don't want that.

I'd like to be able to get a pdf that only shows the response for a certain path, rather than all the blanks for things that don't apply.

My understanding is that you want to hide the empty or blank fields to the PDF output. If yes, then please follow the steps below:

    1. In My Forms page, select the form and then click the "More" button. After that, select the "Create PDF Document" option.

    2. In the PDF Editor, click the "Layout Settings" button at the right.

    3. Under the Advanced section, you need to enable the "Hide empty form fields" option.

Is it possible to hide the labels where there is no response?

Unfortunately, it's either you show it or not show it. The option above the "Hide empty fields" is the one the allows you to show it or hide the field labels.

The format for the notification email seems to create a form that only shows questions that are responded to, I would like to have a pdf that does the same. How is that done.

I'm not sure I understand your requirement, but my colleague already provided an answer to your question. You'll need to enable "Hide empty form fields" and this will be applied on print and preview mode.

If that is not what you are looking for, would you mind clarifying it?

Is it possible to have a template for the one that is used to send the email response? I’d like to have a pdf that does the same thing – shows only the labels for the questions that have responses. It would be simpler than creating separate documents for each path and then have to have multiple email response.

My understanding is that you want to have more than 1 PDF template that you can use for the email alerts.

It is possible to have multiple PDF templates in a single form, you just need to go to the PDF Editor and click the "+ New PDF" button tab. Here's how:

    1. In the Form Builder, click the "Form Builder Down Arrow" button at the top left beside the JotForm logo. After that, select the "PDF Editor" option.

    2. In the PDF Editor, click the "+New PDF" button and then select "New PDF Document".

    3. Customize the PDF and save it.

    4. Go back to Form Builder. Click "Settings" and then go to "Emails" section. Select the notification and then click the "Edit" button.

    5. Go to the "Advanced" tab. Enable the PDF Attachment option and then select the template you preferred.

    6. When you're done, click the "Save" button.

No I want to have a pdf that has only the responses to the questions that were answered. Right now the labels are show for all questions on the pdf. I know I can hide the responses, but the labels are still there. I’m trying produce a form that is shorter than the current one (right now it is 7 pages and most of it is text and labels for responses that don’t apply. The email version is much cleaner, so I’d like to replicate that as a pdf.

Please take note that the "Hide Empty Fields" feature will only work in Preview Mode or Print Mode. So please try to preview the PDF to see the changes.
