Hi, is there a way to preauthroise but return a different lesser amount - or just hold thecard to charge an amount after say a service is complete? For example someone books you to do garden work, you estimate 3 hours at $20 an hour, but its 4 hours, How can you return $80 and charge that amount.

You may be able to charge your customer on a later date in Stripe.

    Kindly follow this guide:https://www.jotform.com/help/347-How-to-Capture-Stripe-Payment-Authorization#_

Please give it a try and let us know if this fits your requirements.

Yes I expect so. We have stripe integrated and have set to authorise. But the issue we have is we don’t sell actual products so need to authorise a rough amount then send a trigger to capture a Specific amount

You can try the Purchase Order processor. You can add products or services and it will not collect any payment using the form. Here's a guide:

Please try it and let us know if you have any questions.

We kind of need to do this but collect the card data to charge later - we can go I to stripe to charge this I suppose but do we have to basically create a product to charge. We run a test but in the jotform admin you only have the option to charge the full amount ?

You should be able to collect valid credit card details (e.g. authorize $0.01 USD) and charge custom amount payments through your Stripe dashboard later.

Please have in mind that there is a 7 days time limit for you to capture the payments. Otherwise the payment would expire and Stripe will not allow you to capture the payment anymore.

Please give it a try and make a test authorization and let us know, how it goes.
