How to save and continue

    Good afternoon,

Is there a setting that we can enable on a form (or perhaps a different way to set up the form) that will cache the user's entry in case they accidentally lose internet connection or if they need to come back to the form later?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Ganv,

We have two options for these.

    1. Autofill Feature:

You can enable the feature on your form which will save the input data every few seconds. This feature saves the input data in a browser cookie. So if they change the browser, access the form in another device or even clear cache, the saved data will not be available.

Here's the URL for the Autofill feature.

    2. Save and continue feature

It lets you save the input data in the session that is stored in our server. This feature requires the "Page Break" field. The data is saved only on the click of the next button.

Here's the URL for the save and continue feature.

The following guide should help you:

You may allow users to return to edit their submission in an email responder. Here's the URL for the autoresponder option.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

It would allow the customers to return to their specific submission at any time to update their data. Once the submission is done, it will be replaced with the new data rather than creating a new submission.

    Hope this helps.

Kindly get back to us if you have any questions.
