Multi Step form submission

Hi I've been looking at trying to do a multi step form where the first person fills out the form, presses submit and second person fills out additional required fields. I was following the steps at the link below and saw the example, but I don't understand how to build the form for just the client.

I have attached a link for my form. The idea is that the adopter would fill out page 1 and 2. The representative would fill out page 3. However, I would like page 3 to be hidden from the adopter. Right now the form could be submitted without page 3 fields filled out. I want those fields to be required, but cannot do that since two separate people are filling out the form.

You need to add a GET FORM PAGE URL widget to the form to capture the URL used when it is accessed.

Then create a condition to show the REPRESENTATIVE fields only if the URL contains an EDIT:

This hides the said fields above when the ADOPTER fills out the form.

I can see that you already added an EDIT LINK to the Autoresponder email (the email that will be received by the REPRESENTATIVE after the ADOPTER submits the form).

Now, when the REPRESENTATIVE access the form via the edit link, the hidden field will be shown to him.

    Here's a demo form: https://form.jotform.com/201115521131939

Please fill it out and use your email as the REPRESENTATIVE's email so you could receive the email with the edit link.

Thank you! This worked perfectly! I have a few more questions.

I have the payment options for debit/credit card or paypal integrated into the form. If the first person (Adopter) submits their credit card info will they be charged immediately? When the second person (Representative) edits the form to sign, is the credit card info visible and will the card get charged a second time when the second person updates the submission? Is there a way the Representative can find out if an electronic payment was successful ?

If you have set up the Paypal field to charge the customer immediately, yes, the charge will be initiated as soon as he submits the form.

However, you can enable PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION. This allows you to capture the payment at a later date (3 days at the most).

    Here's a complete guide for that: How-to-Enable-Payment-Authorization.

When the second person (Representative) edits the form to sign, is the credit card info visible and will the card get charged a second time when the second person updates the submission? Is there a way the Representative can find out if an electronic payment was successful ?

When you edit the submission, the payment field will be disabled. You cannot make another payment by editing the form and there is no way the representative can edit or view the payment details entered by the adopter. Only you as the form owner can view it via the submission page.
