Is there a way to collect the PayPal Checkout payment immediately without waiting for the user to submit form?

and is there a way to collect the payment immediately without waiting for the user to complete the submission? I fear a lot of users might drop out without completing the order...

If you want to process the payment immediately, I would suggest you to please add PayPal pro question in form. This will require user to input the payment details in the form and the payment is processed on click of submit button.

The guide you sent says that PayPal Pro is only available in the US, UK and Canada - is that really the case?

It seems you are in Italy and PayPal Pro is not supported in Italy. In that case, I would suggest you to please use PayPal Checkout or PayPal Standard.

Please note that in PayPal standard, after the form is submitted user will be redirected to PayPal page to settle payment. If user do not complete payment, that submission will still be captured but will be saved as incomplete payments.
