Form submission failed using PayPal Checkout

I just had a major glitch with one of my forms. I tried to submit payment via debit/credit card a couple of times and it said transaction refused. I called my bank and they said it was on the merchant's end. So I then paid using the PayPal checkout. It completed my payment, but didn't submit my form!!! How do I fix that???

    Hi,

Could you please share the form link?

As for the PayPal checkout, you need to click the Checkout button and complete the payment before submitting the form. Did you submit the form after paying?

Also, I suggest testing the payment form before using it in live mode, please follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/390-how-to-test-your-paypal-payment-form

We'll wait for your response. Thank you!

This is part of a very long list of support issues with this form: https://form.jotform.com/211211558824148

I am using PayPal Business and we received another credit card payment with no issue. I actually submitted the form successfully once. When I tried to submit the same form a second time my payment was refused, but not by my bank.

    Greetings.

I have checked your form, and it looks like you have one incomplete submission. Unless JotForm Receives a confirmation from PayPal that the payment was completed successfully, submissions will be stored as Incomplete. You can use the following link to see how you can view these submissions:

If you keep having this problem in the future, please let us know and we will investigate further. If possible, please take a screenshot of the error and share it with us. Please click here to see how to share images.

    Hello there,

I've cloned your form, but can't seem to reproduce the issue. I was able to send a payment using PayPal without a problem.

Using a credit card on the other hand shows me a different error where the form can't recognize the first and last name on the credit card fieldset.

Can you send us screenshots of how the error looks on your end? Also, check if the console log shows any errors and send us screenshots if it does, that'd be helpful.

I successfully used a credit card to submit the form once, but it wouldn't do it a second time (I was trying to submit the same form twice with different info.) I tried 3 consecutive times and then called my bank. It was not on their end. They said they saw three debits/credits and that it was a merchant issue.

I was able to make a payment using PayPal, but my form wasn't submitted, and I was just taken to the Thank You screen. Here is a screenshot of the email confirmation I received. It details the payment, but the form is blank. I thought it was supposed to submit the form upon payment?

    Hi again,

Below is the submission addressed in your last response. All form fields are successfully filled out and the payment has been successfully completed.

Please have a look at it again.

Actually that is not the submission that I had trouble with. The form you've included has three people registered, but the one that didn't work had two (as you can see in the payment in the screen shot I sent.) I deleted it because it was blank and I didn't want the other person I'm working with this on to be confused. I resubmitted it with a different payment option (check) and told them that the payment had been processed as a PayPal credit card transaction. I restored it from the trash and you can see that all that is detailed is the payment information, nothing from the form.

My question about why the form wasn't submitted and/or if I was supposed to be redirected to submit the form after making payment hasn't been answered. I was able to work through this to get the information to the right person, but other users of my form may not have been.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience. Please allow me some time to check the issue you are having on the PayPal Business payment field on your form on my end. I'll get back to you on this ticket with my findings as soon as possible.

Apologies for any delays. I checked the issue you are reporting on my end further and I have confirmed that the submission shown in the screenshot you shared was submitted with blank data aside from the data for the PayPal payment field.

When you respondents chose to pay with their PayPal account through your form, the form should be submitted automatically after they have successfully processed their payment.

However, the issue appears to be temporary and, right now, we can only suggest that you let us know if, in any case, you experience the same issue again in the future.

You may also confirm with us if the submission you had an issue with was submitted from a continue form link since your form has its Continue Forms Later enabled.
