Custom Change URL Inquiry

Hello I created a form and a random URL was assigned. I decided to change the URL to something else a couple of days later. It appears that both links are working.. At least it appears we can click on either and they take me to the form. Is that correct or is there something else that will not work in old link that I don't know about? Thanks! Mary Lou Baker

Thank you for your inquiry at JotForm support.

As following guideline, How to Create a Custom URL of a Form, shows, it is possible to custom change the random form URL created to another URL address.

However, we need note;

a. Changing the name of the current custom form URL will automatically make the URL that has the old name invalid, which will result in a 404 error. You have to inform your form users of the changes.

b. Changing your username will also invalidate all custom form URLs with your old username, which will also result in a 404 error. You have to inform your form users of the changes. 

c. The original form URL will still work regardless of the custom form URL or if you’ve updated your username.

d. Custom form domain is available on our Enterprise system only.

Please refer our guideline How to have users redirect from old form URL to new URL when URL of the form is changed as well in regards to this matter.
