Hi,
You can achieve this using subscription payment type of form.
You can learn more about this on this user guide
You can set the subscription payment scheme to have 50% initial payment, then, stagger the remaining balance into multiple payments (or just another 1 time payment)

to understand how to create a subscription payment form.
The 50% can be setup in the first payment option.

Hi,
Yes you can already.
Go the form in the form builder and modify the payment type.
Please refer to screens below for guidance.
Please take note that switching payment type will need a reset of the items in the payment tool.
So, you will need to add them manually again.
