I have set-up an application, and I would like to provide a link for applicants to click on to access the application.

Hi,
Anyone that has a link (URL) to your jotform will be able to open it and submit and each submission will be saved for you. Now depending on how you want it to be shown to your visitors there are various options to do this.
To just get a link:
http://www.jotform.com/help/34-Adding-a-Form-to-a-Web-Page
On a step 3 you will see a screen that says "This is a direct link to your form for easier distribution."
Right under it you can see the field that has the form link.
Now there are also other options available if you would like to not only link to your form, but show it on your website as well.
To do that, you can check out these tutorials:

Which Form Embed Code Should I Use?
Do let us know if you have any further questions.
Best Regards,
Ben
