    Hi Jo,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you explain more what you're trying to figure out? The email entered will then send that email entered an email with a code to enter. This code will only work with the email entered, if they changed the email then they would have to enter in a new code.

If you're worried about people submitting your form that you don't want to, you can also consider things like making your form private. Then only those that you invite to fill out your form will be able to.

Let us know if you have any other questions or if that's not quite it, if you can explain a bit more so we can understand better what you're trying to accomplish.

When I first sign up with Jotform, when a person sent an email to me, they were not required to go back and enter a code.
If the email address they said the email was from, then they would receive a notification asking them to verify, did you send this email?
If the person said no, the email went nowhere. If they said yes, the email was automatically sent to me.
For example. I used to receive emails from bill@billpost.com Bill was not sending me any emails. So when he received the email from Jotform asking to verify, he replied no. the spam emails stopped. They were not filling a volunteer form. They were simply sending me an email.
Is this possible when they are filling out a form?

I DO Not want people to have stop completing the form, then go to their email, then back to the form and input the code.
I do not have a list of people that I can make it private. That is the 2nd reason why we use Jotform is for people to sign up for info, volunteering, etc.

    Hello Jo,

Thanks for getting back to Jotform. I will need a bit of time to check on this and gather information if this can be possible. As soon as we came up with a solution or need more details from you, I will circle back to this thread immediately.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Hi Jo,

Thank you for patiently waiting, I appreciate it. Please bear with me as I provide the information needed for your questions.

"If the email address they said the email was from, then they would receive a notification asking them to verify, did you send this email?"

The verification email was generated and sent by Jotform the code. Check out the sample screencast I made:

"If the person said no, the email went nowhere. If they said yes, the email was automatically sent to me."

Can you share more information about this?

"For example. I used to receive emails from bill@billpost.com Bill was not sending me any emails. So when he received the email from Jotform asking to verify, he replied no. the spam emails stopped. They were not filling a volunteer form. They were simply sending me an email."

I suggest trying to use the Xverify widget, this will be helpful for checking the email address that was entered wrong by accident or intentionally. You can find the explanation and demo on this link.

We can move forward as soon as we receive a response from you, let us know more details information on the request you have.

Either say yes that feature is available for forms or not it is not.
Is it still available for the regular emails without a form?
I am not going to switch to a new program as we will be ending our account after the November 8, 2022 election.
I just do not want to deal with a bunch of junk mail which I anticipate with start any day now.

    Thank you

You wanted an example? Here you go. This is clearly a fake email. I expected them to start today.
Again, I know there is a way for people to not get the verify the email with a number using jotform.
The way this is now set up, Floyd sets up an email to me. Sees oh I have to go to my fake email and set it up. Then get the code, then the fake email is sent.
That’s like telling a thief the code to the front door lock.

    Hello Jo,

Thank you for the additional information but I am still confused about what you are trying to achieve with your Jotform and the form. With your question "Is it still available for the regular emails without a form?", are you talking about email accounts that are not registered as Jotform accounts or users that were not invited to fill out the form? In the initial statement of my colleague, he mentioned that you can set the form to Private. With this, only invited users can fill out the form because the Jotform system will list all the users that you invited. See the attached screencast:

    1665631012 6347832489c79 2022 10 13 11 1 Screenshot 10

You can remove users that you invited, see their submissions, and send a reminder that they haven't filled out their forms.

Can you share a screenshot of the fake email that you received? You can follow the guide from this link to post screenshots in the support forum.

We appreciate you doing this for us, we’ll wait for your response.
