I have set up my forms with a minimum order amount required. This was working when the form was created, but is not working now. Is there an issue with this on your side? This is extremely important for our orders. The form attached is only 1 of several that we have created and all of them are not working properly.

    Hello Sheri,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned one of your forms but could not replicate the issue; as seen in the screencast below, I was only able to fix the error after updating the order to a total of $100:

I cleared your form caches as it comes in handy if the issue is caused by a small glitch. if the issue persists, please share a screenshot of what happens when the issue occurs. It'll also help if you can share the URL of at least of the affected forms; this guide will help you locate the form's URL.

Let us know if you need any more help.

I have set up my forms with a minimum order amount required. This was working when the form was created, but is not working now that I have added a discount/coupon to the form. Orders should still have the minimum requirement with the discounted pricing. This is extremely important for our orders.

I have tried clearing the cache and there was no change.

    Hi Sheri,

Thanks for getting back to us. When I cloned and tested your form, the same thing happened for me. After investigating it a bit, I found a solution. It's really easy to fix. When creating a coupon code, a different Minimum Order amount will show. That's where you will set your Minimum Order Amount when the coupon code is applied. Let me show you how:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder and select the Product List field.

    2. Click on the List icon on the right side of the field.

    3. Under the Coupons tab, click on Create Coupon.

    4. Enter a Coupon Code and choose a Coupon Limit.

    5. Select a Discount Type and Rate.

    6. In the Apply Discount section, select Subtotal, then set the minimum order amount.

    7. Now, just click on Save and that's it. You're done.

Now, your customers can use your coupons to get a discount when they buy your products.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I have followed your instructions and am still able to submit an order if it is less than the minimum amount when using the coupon code. We will have customers that aren't eligible for the coupon and it seems to work fine if a coupon code is not entered. We also need to have the form reflect the discount price for each item for our accounting/invoicing purposes. This does not happen when using the subtotal to reflect the discount.

Below is what we need to see:

    Hi Sheri,

Thanks for getting back to us. I understand how difficult and stressful this is. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

Regarding the $1500 minimum order spend, I was a little confused. Please let me know if you still want to apply it after the coupon code has been used. Which means that, after deducting the coupon from the original price, are you still going to require the customer to order a minimum of $1500?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

Yes, after the coupon code is applied, they still need to meet the $1,500 minimum to submit an order.

    Hi Sheri,

Thanks for getting back to us. I’ll need a bit of time to look into this. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Hi Sheri,

Thanks for patiently waiting. Keep in mind that the Minimum Order Amount is based on the Subtotal, and not the Total after the Discount. If you need to have a Minimum Order Amount of $1,500, you need to set the Minimum Order Amount to $1,500 and Minimum Subtotal Amount to $3,000. The steps to enable the Minimum Subtotal Amount are listed on my earlier reply here.

This is how it looks like after adding the Minimum Subtotal Amount:
