Show/Hide form fields using Get Form Page URL widget

    Hi there

I'm not sure if its feasible but here goes.

I have a form that is provided to students.

They have to complete the form individually (for which they achieve a score)

Then they process the same form but this time as a team (for which they also get a score)

Then they review it again and add the actual answers

what i want is control the column values.

During the 1st pass, I want to block the Team and Actual columns

During the next pass I want to display the individual answers (read only) and block the ACTUAL column

During the 3rd pass I want to display (read only) the individual and team values and allow the ACTUAL to be entered.

I used conditions to reveal columns based on an opening question to select the phase. My idea was to reveal a second version of the question and then a third.

I would need to be able duplicate/copy the values entered in phase 1 to appear in the 2nd set of questions and then the same for the third but I don't know if its possible ?

    Any ideas ?

    regards

    Barry

    Hello Barry,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that you want to have a form that can hide/show fields and pass thrice. This can be possible using the Get Form Page URLs and Show/Hide Field conditional logic. Check out this guide on how to show or hide fields on edit URLs and from this link a demo.

I would like to clone your form but show you a screencast/short recording of how would this work on your form. However, it seems that your form was set to Private. This means only invited users can access the form. See the screenshot below:

Can you set the form to the Public so that we can gain access to it? We have a guide on how to change the access settings of a form.

Once we hear back from you, we can help you with this.

    Hi there

Sorry for that - I've made it Public (thought I'd done that ....)

    Hello Barry,

Thanks for getting back to us and we’re sorry you’re having trouble with this. I tested hiding the columns in the Input Table element using conditional logic but unfortunately, it is not possible.

I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Hi there again

    Thanks for your reply.

I had a thought of a workaround. What if I have 3 forms and pass the values from one form to another ?

It might be a bit of a mess passing 30 values to form 2 and then 60 to form 3 ?

Not sure if there is a limit ?

    Hi Barry,

Thanks for getting back to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pass data of the Input Table element from form to the Input Table element of form two and so on. This means the workaround of passing data seems not possible.

I saw that my colleague successfully opened a feature request to our Developers to use the Get Form Page URL widget in the Input Table element.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.
