Account limit does not change even some submissions are deleted

I did this and even logged out and back in, but my usage limits are still the same even though all but 3 of my submissions have been deleted. I haven't had to worry about this for years and then out of the blue I get an email stating my limit is close to reaching. The last form submitted was with two pics that were less than 1MB each and that was almost 2 weeks ago. Why now?

    Hello Matt,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. After checking your account, it's active and nowhere near the limit. Are you perhaps referring to a different account? Please provide the email address or username so we can check it for you.

Additionally, once you have deleted the submission data with file attachments, please note that it will stay in the Trash entries for 30 days before it gets deleted permanently. Since you have downloaded those files already, you can purge the deleted entries instead of waiting for 30 day period.

In case, you have a busy schedule ahead,  you can set the Deletion Period on your form to automatically delete the form entries. This way you won't have to worry about forms with file uploads needing to be deleted to free up space.

    1. In the Form Builder page, select Settings.
    2. Next, click Show More Options button at the bottom.
    3. Scroll down to Auto-Delete Form Submissions, then select Enable.
    4. Choose the Deletion Period, then select Next.
    5. Review your settings, then select Yes, Update to apply and save the changes. Account overlimit Image 3 Screenshot 62 Screenshot 32 Screenshot 21

Please refer to this guide to know more about your account usage and limits. Unlike the other monthly limits that reset every 1st of the month, the upload space does not and needs to be manage manually by deleting entries with file uploads to free up some space.

That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

It has been reset after deleting all my submissions. However, it was not immediate. I had to wait 24hrs.

    Hello Matt,

Thanks for getting back to us. I can see that this is very stressful. I would recommend clearing up your form's cache after you have deleted some entries with file uploads. Go to your Account Settings and click the Clear Cache button showing beside Form Caches and refresh the page.

There are situations that deleting entries with file uploads would not automatically recalculate the upload space taken (depending on the file size that was used up) and would need to be forced and clearing the form's cache helps. Or you can reach out to us and we can recalculate the upload limit set on the account.

Let us know if you need any more help.
