I have customers with a Comcast email address. They are not receiving confirmation emails from Jotform?

I read in the QA section this is problem from 2017. Is there a resolution.

    Hi Heather,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When I checked the email logs, emails are actually being sent to the users under the email addresses with the comcast domain. So it looks like Comcast is blocking the emails from being received by your form respondents.

You can ask your form respondents to check their junk and spam folders, and also check their spam settings and remove Jotform if it's in there. Whitelisting Jotform IPs and domains could also work in this case.

You can also try to use your SMTP as the Sender Email to prevent the emails coming from Jotform's sender email addresses from being blocked. Let me show you how:

First of all, we’ll need to enable the two-factor authentication if it isn’t already enabled in your Gmail account, then generate an app password using this link. Let me show you how:

After making sure that the 2FA is enabled, click here to sign into your Google account and access the App Password Generator.

    • In the list of available apps, click on Mail.
    • In the device list, click on Other.
    • Enter your Custom Name, such as Jotform.

    • Click on the Generate button.
    • Copy and save the password to your computer.
    • Finally, click on the Done button.

It’s important that you save the password to your computer so you can use it again later. If you don't save it, you'll have to generate a new one again, because Google doesn't let users view their passwords after clicking on the Done button.

After you're done with the Gmails settings, please follow the below steps to set up the SMTP:

    • Go to your My Account page, and click on Settings, or visit here directly.
    • Under the Settings tab, click on the Add Sender Email button.

You’ll be using the generated App Password in the field pointed below:

    Here's the correct configuration:

    Email Address: heather.rees2150@gmail.com

    Hostname: smtp.gmail.com

Port: (confirm with your email provider if you’re not sure, but you can try the other predefined options)

    Username: heather.rees2150@gmail.com

    Password: {your Gmail app-specific password, not the Jotform account password}

    Security Protocol: TLS

Finally, just to make sure to enable access, let’s confirm the security activity for the password we created:

    • Go to your Google account Security page and select the correct account if you have multiple Gmail accounts.
    • In the Recent Security Activity section, click on the action indicating the password creation.
    • Confirm that you recognize the activity by selecting Yes, it was me.

Go back to your SMTP settings, and test it. If this fails, change your password, and that should do it.
