Would it be possible to add upload a document or picture field option?

    Hi Jean,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We have a File Upload element that makes it easy for anyone to attach files when they fill out a form. Let me show you how to add it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder and click on the Add Form Elements menu on the left side of the screen.
    2. Under the Basic tab, scroll down to the Field Upload element and add it to your form. That’s it.

We also have a guide about How to Create File Upload Forms that you might find helpful.

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks Raymond.

I was looking for that functionality within the "configurable list" widget. Use case: I need to collect information about tenant on a rental lease. I collect general info about the lease, than I need information for each tenant (could be one or many), including an ID upload for each one of them.

    Hi Jean,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, it's not possible to add an upload field for each row of the configurable list widget. As a workaround to that, you may consider building your form using basic elements such as Short text field, Full name, and File Upload elements then show them conditionally based on how many guests/tenants the user has selected. Let me show you how to do that:

    • In Form Builder, click on Settings and on the Conditions section.
    • Next, create a Show/Hide Next condition and create a similar conditions below:

I've also used the section collapse field to organize the set of questions better. You can also test it on this demo form. We also have a guide on How to Hide or Show Multiple Fields Conditionally that you may check out.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Thank you Raymond. This is a feasible workaround, although it imposes a pre-defined upper limit to the number of submissions (= the number of sections hidden).

Question: if a Field that gets hidden is marked as "Required", will the "required" condition be ignored because the field was hidden or will it give me an error because a required field was left empty when the user tries to submit the form?

    Hi Jean,

Thanks for getting back to us. If a required field is hidden by a condition, the field will automatically be set as not required and the users will be able to proceed with the submission.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
