Adding products to opportunities with Input table to Salesforce

    @sefakaragoz

I followed your instructions on this thread https://www.jotform.com/answers/3972473-salesforce-add-products-to-an-opportunity-via-jotform and understand what you are saying. What I don't get is what is the format that the product input table in Jotform should have. Right now I am using an input table (called Inventory), but I am not sure if that will work.

It would be great if I could read the Salesforce product table right into Jotform. (Maybe someday :-)

    Hi Leveling,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Unfortunately, the columns in the Input table can't be mapped to the integration. You have to use single input fields like Textbox.

Alternatively, you can get the value from the input table to a text field and then map these text fields to Salesforce. You can also check this guide on How to Perform Form Calculation in the Input Table Element for more details.

Regarding transferring the Salesforce product table to Jotform, it's not possible as Salesforce integration is only a one-way integration in which Jotform forms send the data to your Salesforce account.

You might also want to check out this guide about Mastering Salesforce with Jotform.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your response, but that didn't solve my issue and the link you sent was not helpful.

I need to know exactly how to create the products table in Jotform. I have tried both Input Table and Configurable List (which I would like to use). Can you (or someone) show me the steps and forms I would need to create Opportunity Products such as was done by sefakaragoz in this answer https://www.jotform.com/answers/3972473-salesforce-add-products-to-an-opportunity-via-jotform

    Thanks.

    Hi Leveling,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, it's not possible to create an opportunity with the input table or the configurable list widget. This is because in the integration, it's not possible to select a specific column or cell to map with Salesforce.

In the thread that you shared, the example used was a Single Choice field as indicated by the logo beside it:

If you're trying to do the same, please try using other fields such as single choice field, multiple choice field, or short text fields.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Thanks, but I am not trying to create an Opportunity or a Price Book. I am trying to create an Opportunity Product using an input table or configurable list. What good is having these features if they are not able to be mapped from Jotform to Salesforce. According to sefakaragoz, I should be able to create opportunity products.

    Hi Leveling,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Unfortunately, the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. In the previous responses above by my colleagues, we emphasized that the field types mapped in the integration should be the same. Our developer 'sefakaragoz' suggested a solution on the thread which you shared that has matching field types on both Jotform and Salesforce.

As a workaround, you can use the Short Text element to create an inventory like setup, which can easily be mapped with a text field on the Salesforce integration.

I have 440 items in inventory. Are you telling me the only way to make this work is to have 440 text fields?

    Hi Leveling,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand you'd like to use an input table field or configurable list that can be mapped to your Salesforce account. Unfortunately, this is not yet supported by our Salesforce integration. Currently, you can only map the following fields:

    • Full Name
    • Address
    • Email
    • Phone
    • And Short Text Element for Custom Fields in your Salesforce account.

We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know. Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.
