When I ask responders to upload documents as part of that form:

    1. Where does that document/those documents go?

Can I choose a folder/series of different folders to upload them to?

    2. Is there a code that identifies the document to the person?

    Hi Faye,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me answer your questions one by one:

    1. Where does that document/those documents go?

    • Once the form users upload their documents, they will go to our Upload Space storage system. However, the uploaded files that you can receive depend on your account's subscription. You can check out our Jotform Pricing page for more information on each subscription plan's Allowable Upload Space.

    2. Can I choose a folder/series of different folders to upload them to?

    • Unfortunately, no, it is not possible to choose a folder where these files go. But we have File Sharing and Storage Integrations that you can use. For example, in the Google Drive Integration, once a form user uploads files on your File Upload field, the uploaded file will go to the folder that was created by the integration. You can check out this guide on How to Integrate Your Form With Google Drive.
    • You can also go to this page for the list of File Sharing and Storage Integrations that you can use for your forms.

    3. Is there a code that identifies the document to the person?

    • Once a user submits their form, the details that they entered will be passed in the forms submission table. Also, each submission will generate a unique Submission ID. Check out the screencast below for the result:
