Adding approval signatures to Original Smart PDF

is there a way to add the approval signature on the original PDF created by the form

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately approval signatures are not possible to be added to a Smart PDF, only normal PDF documents. If you create a Jotform Sign Document, you can upload your own document to be filled out and signed as part of the approval process.

We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

In the meantime, I suggest looking into the old way of setting up approvals by using conditions and edit links instead - that would allow you to edit the submission to add the missing signatures while approving, at a cost of a less polished experience for the approvers.

I would like to second the request to make an approval signature added to the Smart PDF. I'm hoping to use JotForm to vastly improve a process that requires multiple approval signatures from people all over the country, but would like the end result to be a completed PDF with the signatures added.
