How do I use the submit button?

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Please be noted that apart form all other features/functionality, two major process which takes place after the form is submitted are:

#1. Send an email to yourself and / or send an email to the user who submitted your form. The following guide should help you:

Create auto-responder email: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder 

#2. Show thank you message to user after the form is submitted. Please be noted that you can redirect your users to your own page/custom thank you URL as well. The following guide should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/211-Setting-Up-the-Thank-You-Page
