    I don't need the form to openb the file I just need it to upload it and send it via email. Currently it says there is a limitation on file types

    If you are using the upload field, to allow all file types to be uploaded, just set the Extensions setting of the field to "*". For more information, you can check this article: Which file types are allowed for the upload field.

    Then you just enable the Send Upload as Attachment setting of your notification email so you can receive the uploaded file via email.

    To setup notification emails, just follow the instruction provided in this article: Setting Up Email Notifications.

    Do let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hi,
    I have added all the file types. This side is working well.
    On an android device it won't even allow the upload box to be selected.
    It works on the iPhone device but not on android or Samsung.

    May we know if the form is embedded on a website? If it is, could you please share us the web page link?

    I checked your form's direct link which is https://www.jotform.com/62131657268862. I tried it on my personal Android device with version 4.4.4 Kitkat using Chrome browser. I am able to open the explorer to select which files to upload. Here are my screenshots:

    When I click the upload file button, I can choose where to get the file. This depends on Android OS and device, some manufacturers have customize their OS. Here I can choose my camera app if I selected "Android System". I can choose files is I selected "Documents":

    May we know if you have tested it on other Android devices and other web browsers?

    We'll wait for your response.

    Perhaps that is the case, since during my tests using the direct link, I was able to select the upload file button. Can you please provide us with the link to your app so we may test the upload field there as well? What embed method did you use? I would suggest using the iFrame embed code to make sure that there is no conflict. Here's how to get the code: Getting the form iFrame code.

    If the issue persists, please let us know.
    Regards.

    I installed the app on my device and I was able to replicate your issue there. The upload button does not allow me to select any file when I tap it.

    However, when I checked your app using the HTML 5 link on android, the upload field works fine from there. http://h.theapp.mobi/modules/forms/forms.php?fid=6183215 I was able to tap the upload button and select a file to upload.

    Were you able to use the iFrame embed code on your app? Unfortunately I am not familiar with the AppMakr software so I am not sure what may have caused this issue. It appears that when using the app on android, you will need to use the HTML5 version instead.

    Regards.

    Is it possible to add custom code to the App Maker? If yes, please try adding the full source code of the form to your app. Here's how: How to get the Full Source Code of your Form.

    Unfortunately I was not able to find any documentation in AppMakr on how to get android to recognize the HTML5 side when installing. Perhaps the AppMakr support team can better assist you in that regard. Here's the link: http://help.yourappsupport.com/hc/en-us.

    Please let us know how it goes.

    We can take html codes.
    Best Regards.

    That is why the form does not work, because top get the window to choose the field JavaScript code is involved, and as they will not allow that this function simply will not work.

    As they only allow HTML code, you should try embedding your form using the iFrame code as suggested by my colleagues, then remove all the JavaScript codes and leave the iFrame code only, here is an example about the code that you should embed:

        <iframe

          id="JotFormIFrame"

          onDISABLEDload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)"

          allowtransparency="true"

          src="https://form.jotform.com/FormID"

          frameborder="0"

          style="width:100%;

          height:2190px;

          border:none;"

          scrolling="no">

        </iframe>

    This should work as all the JavaScript code will be loaded within the iFrame.

    Other embed methods will not work with this app.
