Flying Solo – a fashion retail and PR company with stores in New York and Paris – was founded on a simple premise: it’s hard for independent brands to get noticed, but by working together they can demand the fashion industry’s attention.
To properly showcase nearly 300 independent brands, Flying Solo needed a streamlined application process that would properly support the brands and their internal workflow. They found it in Jotform.
Manual workflows constrict brand opportunity
Flying Solo’s aim is to connect a community of brands to the fashion savvy consumers in New York and Paris (and to the fashion industry at large), so the more brands they can showcase, the better.
However, the company found itself managing designer applications manually via email and then copying/pasting information into Google Sheets. Doing so often resulted in human error, and most importantly, lost brand applications…the lifeblood of their business.
Jotform helps sew up a new, streamlined workflow
After migrating their applications online with Jotform, Flying Solo began to see significant process improvements. Along with less erroneous data and missing applications, designers could easily access the different application types (such as fashion weeks or store placement) directly through the company’s “Link in bio” on Instagram.
Jotform helps us welcome new designers to our home, and to be part of the Flying solo family.

Elizabeth Salamina, Managing Director of Flying Solo, notes that now, with the designer applications flowing through Jotform, it’s easy to streamline the application process, particularly since the data is integrated with Airtable for their team’s quick analysis.
No longer limited by manual processes, Flying Solo is free to grow their business partnerships (and their business) at scale thanks to a highly customizable platform that gets them up and running in just two minutes.
