Mailchimp makes the signup process very easy. All you need to do is provide your email, decide on a username and password, and tell them a little about your business.

After the initial signup, Mailchimp prompts you to design your email, import your email subscribers, and send your first email as seen below.

You have the option to send either plain-text or HTML emails. Both have their distinct advantages and disadvantages, which you can read more about here.
