How to Remove the Submission Date in Your PDF Document

May 14, 2026

Jotform PDF Editor automatically uses the fields from your form when creating PDF documents and reports, including the submission date for each entry. If you don’t want the submission date to appear in your final PDF, you can easily remove it from your document layout.

This helps keep your PDF documents cleaner and more focused, especially when you’re creating files for sharing, printing, or record keeping.

  1. In Form Builder, at the top-left side of the page, click on the Downward Arrow icon.
  2. Then, in the Dropdown menu that opens, select the PDF Editor.

  1. Now, in the PDF Editor page, select the submission date at the top of the PDF document, then click on the Trash Can icon and you’re done.

That’s it! The submission date will no longer appear in your PDF document, and your updated layout will be used for future PDF submissions.

Note

Removing the submission date from the PDF layout only affects the PDF document. Your form submissions will still keep their original submission dates in Jotform Tables and Inbox.
