Match transaction ID from Square with the transaction ID in the submission tables

    Hi Arnold:

Complete agree that this would be super helpful for small non-profits!

In fact, even without the integration with Salesforce, I can't seem to easily match my Jotform submissions and the Square transactions - Jotform submission export csv has a Transaction ID that doesn't match the Transaction ID nor Payment ID on the Square transactions export csv!

Would you have any ideas/pointers on how to match/reconcile the two?

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The transaction ID in the submission tables should match the transaction ID in your Square account. Could you share with us a sample submission ID and a screenshot of the transaction in Square where the transaction ID does not match so we can check?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hi Team:

Here are the Submission IDs of a test recurring donations form submissions:

And here is the csv export from Square (sandbox in Developer Dashboard) - its fairly clear that the Transaction ID nor Subsmission ID on the Jotform export arn't even in the same format as Square's export.

    Hi Tim,

I checked your screenshot, and it seems that the transactions are different amounts and does not match. Could you please check if there are any other information that you can try to match the submissions from your Square with your form?

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Mary/Team:

The amount actually matches. The Square 'Net Total' is the amount minus the Square commission - so $30 at Jotform becomes $29.34 at Square, and $50 at Jotform becomes $48.90 at Square.

There is no other ID that I can see on Jotform's export to try to match with Square. Are you able to access my Jotform form directly? (I'd be happy to give permission for that if it helps you to investigate - I imagine this would be a great feature for lots of people!)

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for using Jotform. I've reached out to our developers about this matter and they've informed me that this is caused by a conflict appointing the field name between us and Square. You can find the Transaction ID in the CSV file you downloaded from Square Dashboard under the Payment ID column.

However, we've gone ahead and escalated this as a feature request to our developers. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Dear Finley and Mary:

Thank you for following this up. Just to share a point of confusion, I don't think what the developer said is correct: "You can find the Transaction ID in the CSV file you downloaded from Square Dashboard under the Payment ID column."

As shown in my screenshots previously, as far as I can tell, there is no ID/string that could be matched between Jotform and Square whatsoever.
