PDF: Show headers and texts

    Hi...

This is my problem... I have tried to put in text fields so I can have url links that the user can click (Fields 8 to 42 or 98 to 104) But they are not showing up on the pdf output or the auto responder email.

Is there any way that I can show these as a field that the user can see and interact with?

    1) You need to go to your forms submission page. Then on the top right corner click on the submissions filter (small gear icon). Check "show headers and texts" and it will show on the PDF.

    Instructions here:

    How-to-Show-Headers-and-Text-in-the-PDF

    2) Unfortunately its not possible to show this in the email. However, you can attach a PDF of the submission to the email (with the headers and texts shown).

The option is in your email settings, on the advanced tab:

Is there a way to show the unhidden text? I have current conditions that hides irrelevant text to the submission.

You need to show the hidden Text field to your form in order to appear in the PDF. You also need to enable the Show Headers and Text field in the PDF by following the guide that my colleague provided.

    Hello John_Benson,

There are conditions on the form that hides some Text field... with a particular one that is required to be shown upon a drop down selection.

However it seems that all of the Text field show up when the Show Headers and Text field is ticked irregardless if the field is hidden or not.

    Am I missing something here?

You will need to enable "Auto Hide Empty Fields" by making the changes on bot Notification as shown below:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/256-How-to-Hide-Empty-Fields-on-Email-Alerts

You will also need to do the same on submissions page as shown in screencast below:

    Hi Trevon,

It seems that any of the suggestions above does not work.

The hide field only works if the field are fillable with content... it doesnt seem to work for static fields like text or headers... If I had the fields set as hidden it only does so in the form but not on the pdf nor the email...

    Any other ideas?

Unfortunately, hidden Text fields in the condition will still appear in the Show Header and Text field option is enabled.

As for the autoresponder email, you can try adding the Text and Link manually then use the Send Email Based on User's answer. Here's the guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/167-How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-User-s-Answer

You can create multiple autoresponder emails with different Text and Link that will send to the User based on their answer.
