    Hi RH_Ministries,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Smart PDF Builder will only import your PDF fields to create the online form version, not its design. So, your form submitters will only be able to use the converted form version instead of the Original PDF.

But you can still get the Original PDF with the submission data once your form submitters submit an entry. It will be an attachment when you receive the submission via email. You'll just need to make sure that the Original PDF with form submission data is selected in your Notification Email settings. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In Form Builder, go to Settings at the top.
    2. Select Emails on the left panel.
    3. Hover your mouse over the Notification Email and click on the pencil icon.
    4. Go to the Advanced tab, and make sure the Original PDF with form submission data is selected on the Attach PDF section.
    5. Lastly, click on Save.

That's it. Here's the result I received on the email when someone submits the form:

ok. If i understand you correctly, once they complete the entry it will be returned as the original?

So how will the submitter see the document? I wanted them to see the original form when completing similar to a fillable PDF.

    Hi RH_Ministries,

Thanks for getting back to us. Your form submitter will have the option to "Preview the PDF" before they submit the form. It will be visible next to the submit button on the form. Check out my screencast below for an example:

This is the closest way they can view the original PDF before submitting the form. Also, you can enable the Attach PDF feature I recommended above on the Autoresponder Email, so they can also receive an email with the submission data along with the attachment of the Original PDF.

You will need an Email Field added to your form so you can enable the Autoresponder. Here's how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element.
    2. Add the Email element anywhere you want on the form.
    3. Then, go to Settings at the top and select Emails.
(You will notice that an Autoresponder Email is automatically created)
    4. Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder Email and click on the pencil icon.
    5. Go to the Advanced tab and enable the Attach PDF feature.
    6. Select the Original PDF with form submission data.
    7. Lastly, click on Save.

That's it. Your form submitter will now also receive an email along with the attachment of the original PDF with the submission data.

    Awesome Great!

I have fields on the form that did not come over as entry fields. How can I make more fields editable/highlighted.
