How to revert to previous form version

    Hi,
I need to see the revision history for my form:
    https://www.jotform.com/build/212205706801041

I tried the instructions noted on the support article:
    https://www.jotform.com/help/294-how-to-view-form-revision-history/

But nothing happens when I click on the green last-saved timestamp.

    Thank you for your help.

    Terry

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. What version of your form would you like to restore it? You have to select the previous version from the revision history, then click on the Revert button to revert the changes to that state. Do not select the first on the list with the label "Current Version", but try to select the other version below it.

If it's not doing anything on your end, try to log out from your account, clear the browser cache, and then log back in to try. You should log out to make sure that any saved cache related to Jotform will be wiped out and you'll start the browser fresh.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

Hi, I cannot access any past versions. When I click the green "last edited" timestamp, nothing happens.

I have logged out of my account, used a different browser and also used private window in Firefox and incognito window in Chrome. I cannot get to any revisions of my form.

    Hello terisman,

Thanks for getting back to us. Were you in the build mode when accessing the revision history? I tested your form but couldn't replicate the issue. Here's a screencast of my result:

Can you please also try the troubleshooting steps below and see if this makes any difference:

    • Try switching to another ISP with a high-speed Internet.
    • Disable any browser extensions that are always working in the background.
    • Try the updated version of the browser.
    • If possible, you can also test using a different device.

If the issue persists, can you send a screenshot of your console report when you click on the revert icon? We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

Give it a try, and let us know if you have any other questions.

I have identified the issue. Our university has a main admin account for our JotForm license. I am using a license under that. On the main admin can access the revision history.

This is frustrating, as I really need to review the revision history myself. Our central main admin isn't familiar with my forms.

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for getting back to us. I am sorry you are having trouble with this. Unfortunately, the sub-users don't have the option to see the revision history of the form. This option is limited to the account in which the form is being managed.

If you want to see the Revision History of the form, unfortunately, the only way is to ask for a screenshot of the revision history from the admin who manages the form. But, if you need an account that allows multiple users, so each one can manage their forms, we encourage you to upgrade to the Jotform Enterprise.

Enterprise accounts can accommodate everyone on your team, while giving you full control and visibility into each action taken by members of the team, for IT audit purposes.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.
