How to get started in Jotform?

This will likely be a low-volume form, perhaps a couple dozen submissions per month. We would like to have the following capabilities:

Configure so that form responses are emailed to one or more addresses.

Responses are stored somewhere easily accessible (in read-only format) via a fixed URL.

Ability to easily delete form responses once no longer needed (to minimize storage requirements).

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To create your form, you need to start by signing up to Jotform. You can link it to your Gmail or create an account directly through the website. Once you've created your account, you'll automatically be on a Starter plan. Considering that you're expecting about a few dozens of submissions every month, this should fit your need. If you'll be needing more, though, you can check out our Pricing page to learn more about the other subscriptions offered by Jotform.

Once you've set those up, you can check out our extensive guidelines on how to create and manage your form/s, starting with how to create a form. You can either clone an existing form via URL or create one from scratch. If you choose to do the latter, you can try using available templates in the platform.

In regards with sending form responses to one or more email addresses, there are two ways to do it. I’ll show you both ways:

The first is to add a recipient to your Notification Email:

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
    • To edit it, click on the Pencil icon on the right side of the Notification Email.
    • Then, under the Recipients tab, just enter a new email address.

If you do it this way, the recipients can see each other's email addresses.

The second way is to add a new Notification Email:

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

    • Click on Add a New Email, and choose the Notification.
    • Now, under the Recipients tab, just add a new email address.

If you do it this way, the recipients can’t see each other's email addresses.

All submissions can be viewed in the Submissions table. Let me show you how:

    • On your My Forms page, choose your form and click on Submissions at the top of the page.

    • This will take you to Jotform Tables, where you can see a list of all of your submissions.

This is also where you can delete submissions made if they're no longer needed. You may also want to check out our guide about How to View Form Submissions.
