curtiselectricalqldAsked on May 22, 2019 at 10:05 PM
I am using the auto complete element in a form.
When I run the form through my PDF to Text converter
(as PDF is the only way to send submissions) so I have to do this.
All fields work perfectly but the Auto Complete entries get all split up.
Can you assist with a solution

Are you referring to the auto complete widget as I don't see that on your mobile job card form both on the cloned version and the original form.
Clone of Demo Mobile Job App — http://www.jotform.co/form/91420717630855
Demo Mobile Job App — http://www.jotform.co/form/90965327851870
I checked those forms because I was matching the data in your screenshot. I'm not sure if you are referring to the auto complete widget https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/autocomp.
Please share to us the form URL https://www.jotform.com/help/401-Where-to-Find-My-Form-URL in question.
Looking forward for your response.

I did check your form and found that you have added multiple quantity and "Auto Complete" fields. Each field will be displayed separately in submission PDF.
How exactly you want it to be displayed?
If you want it to be displayed side by side, I would suggest you to please customize your PDF document and place all the auto complete and quantity field based on your requirement. You can take advantage of our "PDF Editor" to customize PDF document. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/384-How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report
Hope this helps.
Do try it out and get back to us if you have any questions.

PLEASE look at the screenshots, some of the words are getting broken up.
The 1 AC is broken up and 1 DGPO is, this only occurs in the Auto Complete.
This form has been made to be read by a software program, not a human.

I did download your submission in PDF and it seems to display the auto complete fields value correctly. There is no line break in the PDF. Please check the screenshot below:
Which Text converter you are using to get the text from PDF file? Please let us know and we will take a look.
We will wait for your response.

I tested the form on Foxit PDF viewer, I'm not sure how you see it, but this is the PDF and converted to Text:
Could you please advise what do you see?
Here is how you can post a screenshot: https://www.jotform.com/help/438-How-to-Post-Screenshots-to-Our-Support-Forum
Thank you!

Further to the potential solution, I note that my PDF form is setup to show items side by side but they always come to my email address as per the screen shot of the PDF I received below. No matter what I change in the PDF Editor it always comes to me the same.

Your Demo Mobile Job App form is using the old PDF editor. Please enable the new PDF editor from form settings and attach the new PDFs to emails. And open the PDF editor to save changes. I think you will not encounter the issue with the new PDF layout.

An addition. I recommend you create a new PDF document to attach emails. Please look at these steps.
1. This is the PDF editor.2. Enter the document name and select the layout.
Your new PDF document is ready.
3. Attach it to the notification email. -

It looks like a caching problem. What I did is I added a new PDF form named "Demo mobile job app" and set that as the default PDF attachment.
After running some test submission, I can now confirm that the new PDF version is used.
Please try again and let us know how it goes.
