Interested in switching from Wufoo to JotForm

    Hi,

We have a large number of forms with Wufoo. We are interested in switching to JF. However, there is one thing we must have that we can't find on Wufoo or JF. Please look at the test form I created: https://form.jotform.com/201593920601146

We need the paragraph text under the city, state, and zip entitled "Covid-19 Waiver" to appear exactly as is in the notification sent to us as well as the notification sent to the person who filled out the form. Can this be accomplished? Can a PDF be automatically made with the entire form layout and contents and sent to the person who filled out the form?

If this question requires advanced technical support, please forward it along.

    Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us. It is possible to put the text on the Email Notification and Autoresponder, you would need to copy and paste it, example:

You can do the same with the Autoresponder.

In regards to attaching the PDF submission report, that is also possible through the advanced settings of your Notification and Autoresponder:

If you need to customize the PDF first, please follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/384-How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report

In regards to migrating your forms and data from Wufoo to JotForm, you can do it with this app: https://www.jotform.com/integrations/migrate-from-wufoo

I must not have been clear. In the advanced notifications options, I see that I can attach “a” pdf, but it is not a PDF of the actual form submission with all the fields and text that the responder filled out. Is that correct?

We need the respondent to get an actual copy of the entire form, with text, that they filled out.

Hi, the option called "PDF Attachment" is the PDF of the actual form submission, in other words, it is the PDF submission report where the user's data and the text of the form will show up.

The default PDF they will get is this:

If you need to customize it, please follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/384-How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report

I’m sorry to be a pest, but for the life of me, I can not get this to work. I and the user who filled out the form only get this: No PDF even though I have enabled it. Is there any way you can set it up for the pdf to go to the user and us? Once that’s done I can figure out how to move forward. Again, thank you. We are looking forward to switching over to JotForm if we can get this worked out.

Please fill and submit the form to test it, the Notification and Autoresponder should include the PDF submission. Feel free to contact if you have any question at anytime, we are happy to assist you.

    Perfect!

Only thing is I can’t get rid of the link for the user to edit their form once submitted. It is not in the notification email template. Is that a limitation of the free test account?

    Thanks!

Thanks for your great support! I only have a couple of questions remaining before I can recommend to our board that we move from Wufoo to JotForm:
1: When you created the PDF notification, did you manually enter the text, or does the PDF automatically pull the actual text from the form?
2: Is there a way to alter the naming convention of the PDF file? As it is now, it is named to follow the First, and Last name entered on the form. It would be more precise if we could name it something specific like Formname + First and last name of the submitter.
    3: Do you offer a 501(c)(3) non-profit discount?

Thanks again. I’m looking forward to the move.

Yes, it's possible. You may follow this guide for instruction.- How-to-Assign-a-Custom-Name-to-a-PDF-Document-with-PDF-Editor

    3: Do you offer a 501(c)(3) non-profit discount?

Yes, we offer a %50 non-profit discount. Please visit this page to apply.- https://www.jotform.com/nonprofit/

    We’re almost there! You said:

1: When you created the PDF notification, did you manually enter the text, or does the PDF automatically pull the actual text from the form?
The submitted data are automatically passed to PDF report.
However, I modified the Covid Waiver Clone form and the changes I made did not migrate to the PDF. Please remember we have specific text in the form that needs to be contained in the PDF.

    Thank you!
