Editing submissions: Can form users have accounts to provide attachments later to a submitted form?

Hello,

I manage applications for a school. The process includes answering questions on a form and uploading documents such as transcripts, medical forms, etc.

We are constrained by the fact that when people apply, they don't always have all the documents needed to upload.

I'm looking for a platform where each applicant can get username and password so that s/he can go back into the system and upload the documents when they become available.

Does JotForm provide this service?

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, JotForm does not have a system where you could create user accounts for form applicants.
However, we do have a bit different approach; the form users are able to save their forms, come back to them and submit them later, or you can let your users edit their answers after submitting the form.

With the Save and continue later option, your students are able to save the form, and come back to it once they have the necessary files and then fill the rest of the form and submit it.

With the Edit submission option, your students can submit the form without the attached files, and once they have the files, they can edit their submission by adding the file to it.

Both of these options work with a link that you can send the students, and by accessing the link they can edit their answers. The link can be sent in an automatized email, or you can send it also manually if you want.
