Questions from a newbie

Hello! I have heard about Jotform and trying to figure out if it will help me, and how to proceed. I am an independent contractor hairstylist and esthetician renting space in a salon. I don’t have a website, but rather I use a booking app called Gloss Genius that clients can book appointments thru, and it handles my credit card/payment processing as well. Also, I can make notes about their service, and I can store photos, etc. I am interested in consent forms for waxing, and hair services (which I saw on your site), but I am wanting to possibly go paperless and have the ability to have my clients sign these forms using an iPad instead of paper forms. Since I don’t have a website per se, is there a way for me to have these forms set up in an application where I can have a client sign them using an IPad when they come for an appointment, and then be stored somewhere (like on a cloud or whatever) where I can access them if need be? This is all new to me, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, your objective is definitely possible with JotForm forms. You can easily build a consent form and use it to allow your clients to provide consent electronically via any device that can use a web browser (desktop, smartphone, smart pad).

Then, once the consent form is submitted, the record of each submission will be saved directly to your JotForm account where you will be able to access all of the data. You also have the option of printing our hard copies of your form submissions in PDF format or a list of all submissions in CSV or Excel format.

Thanks for getting back to me! I did open an account, used one of the
templates & modified to my liking. So now when a client comes in, what do
I do and where do I go to have them fill out the form? is there a link or
something I can put the n my tablet somewhere to have quick access to it?

We are glad to know that you have been able to set up a form to your liking.

Please note that in order for the form to be filled out, you will need to use the Form URL. This is a link that will open up the live form and allow for submissions to be made.

You can simply keep this link open on a browser on your Tablet and then after each submission you can simply go back to the original URL to restart the form again.
