    Hi,

I got 2 forms [Approval Form] and [Form]

I have added a unique field (hidden) in [Approval Form]

I want to access the value of unique field from [Approval Form] in [Form] and compare with list of records from the {Approval Form} table and fetch few fields data from table and display the same to [Form] fields.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I don't want automatic flow of data, I would like to have a search operation based data to be filled.

    First form to collect info.

Second form , enter a field data and click button to fetch desired field from form 1 and then add few more fields in second form.

    Thanks,

    Hi gugi0106,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Then you must be referring to our manual prefill.

    Please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/1806-how-to-prefill-form-fields-with-data-you-provide-with-manual-prefill/

If you are referring to something else, please let me know.

    Hi,

Can I fill one field manually and perform pre-fill option by fetching table data, on demand. dynamic.

please check my form, i want to enter one field and then based on that entry it should fetch corresponding data in available fields.

    Hi,

I did a table based pre-fill but the data does not gets populated in drop-box.

I did review this thread and if I understand your requirement correctly, your users will submit form 1 and then in second form, you want to fetch the data from form 1 and also allow user to input new data as well. Is that correct?

I would also suggest you to please take a look at our "Spreadsheet to form" widget and see if that fits into your requirement.

You can upload an Excel file with all the data of form 1 which will have a unique column that could be the email field, phone number or any other field. When the user input their email address in the widget on the form, it will fetch the existing data from the uploaded Excel file and display in the form fields. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-how-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your understanding.

But I don't want to import excel from anywhere, I want to utilize the form data which has been saved within Jot tables.

I want to perform search operations on Jot tables only.

Form 1 may have 5 fields.

Form 2 will use one of the unique field of Form 1 to perform dynamic search operation and fetch 2 more data from Form 1 to Form 2 fields, and then Form 2 may have few more fields which needs to be manually filled by the manager and sent to another team.

Please note that when you use pre fill feature, it will generate a URL to prefill the data in the form field. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a search feature in form to search for a specific data and populate form fields. The only option available to achieve this is by adding "Spreadsheet to Form" widget, as explained in my previous reply.

    Hope this helps.
