When you import a PDF form through the Smart PDF Forms, an online form is created with your form fields in it. You’ve added new fields and linked them to the original PDF. You can also update the original PDF when needed.
Assuming that you designed the form, selected a theme from our designer, and decided to keep the online form only. The Smart PDF Forms provides an option to disconnect the original PDF from the online form.
To disconnect, just go to the Settings tab of the Smart PDF Forms, and toggle Original PDF connection to your Online Form to OFF.
You’ll notice that the Upload tab beside Build/Settings/Publish is now gone. The original PDF is still in the background, and you can still turn on the PDF Connection when needed in the future.
You’ll also see that the options below the PDF Connection heading and toggle are disabled. Note that when PDF Connection is turn off, there is no option you can keep the original PDF as an attachment to the form emails (notification and autoresponder).
