How to Share Your Donation App on Social Media

Jotform Apps lets you share your donation app on social media so more people can discover it and access your donation form. You can share your app’s link on different social platforms to make it easier for supporters to find your app and contribute to your cause.

Whether you’re raising funds for a nonprofit, supporting a community project, or collecting donations for a specific cause, sharing your app on social media helps you reach more potential donors.

Adding the Share Button

You can add and customize a Share Button in just a few steps. Here’s how: 

1. In App Builder, click on the Plus icon on the left side of the page.

2. Then, in the App Elements menu that opens, scroll down to the Share Button, then click on it. Or, just drag and drop it to where you want it to be on your app.

3. Next, on the right side of the Share Button, click on the Gear icon.
4. Now, in the Share Button properties window that opens on the right of the page, set up these properties:
   • Button text — Enter the text you want to display on the share button. 
   • Shrink — Enable this option to make the element smaller. 
   • Duplicate Element — Click on Duplicate to create a copy of the selected element with all its saved properties.

5. Then, under the Style tab, customize these properties:
   • Style — Select Primary, Secondary, or Outlined to choose the button style. 
   • Button Style — Click on Change Style to customize the button’s appearance. 
   • Corner Style — Select a corner style to adjust the button’s corner shape.
   • Button Width — Select Auto or Full to adjust the button’s width.
   • Button Alignment — Select Left, Center, or Right to align the button.

6. Next, under the Actions tab, configure these settings:
   • Button Action — Select the action to perform when users click the share button. 
   • Social Media Share Message — Select a message from the Dropdown menu, then edit it in the input box below.

7. Now, under the Conditions tab, manage these settings:
   • Role-Based Access — Select Visible to Everyone or Visible to Selected Roles Only to choose who can see the share button.
   • Manage Roles — Click on Manage Roles to manage the roles available for your app.

You’re all set! Your Share Button is ready to use. 

Sharing Your App on Social Media

Adding a Share Button makes it easy for donors to share your app with others. They can share it through social media or copy the app link to share it anywhere they want. To share your app, donors can follow these steps:

1. Open your donation app and click on Share This App. 

2. Now, in the Share This Appwindow that opens, choose how you want to share the app:
   • Whatsapp — Share the app through WhatsApp.
   • Facebook — Share the app on Facebook.
   • X — Share the app on X.
   • LinkedIn — Share the app on LinkedIn.
   • Copy Link — Copy the app link to share it anywhere you want.

That’s it! People can now share your app with others to help spread the word about your cause.
