Adding Form to Facebook (Custom iFrame App) - Deprecated

Last Update: April 5, 2012

This method is deprecated. To view an updated version, click here.

Before proceeding, set your form's width to 520 (maximum width allowed by Facebook) to prevent the form from getting cut off

1.  Go to http://www.facebook.com/developers. Click Setup New App. (If you don't see it, you may need to verify your account by either confirming your mobile phone or adding a credit card to your account. Facebook will not charge your credit card if you add it to your account.)

2.   Give your Facebook application a name. Follow and complete the standard procedures (Agree to terms, Enter security code)

3.  In the About tab, fill out the fields that are important. In this app, for example, I changed the icon and added a short description.

4.  In the Facebook Integration tab, fill up information for your application's canvas.

5.  Give your Canvas Page a shortcut URL, in this example I named it "mysitesfeedbackform".

6.  Insert your form's direct url in the Canvas URL, Secure Canvas URL, Tab URL and Secure Tab URL. Be sure to use https in Secure Tab URL and Secure Canvas URL.

I gave my sample application a tab name "Feedback". This will be the name that appears in the tab links after you embedded this application to your Facebook Page.

7.  Click "Save Changes". You will then be redirected to this screen where you will see a list of the apps you created.

Click Application Profile Page to go to your application's page.

8.  In the application profile page, click "Add to My Page" to bring up your Facebook Pages list. Click the  "Add to Page" button beside the FB Page where you want your application to appear.

9.  Go to your facebook page's URL. You should see your iframe application on the left sidebar

Bonjour,

Le passage en https fait que les applications iframe non configurées https ne s'affichent pas sur les pages entreprises.
iframe.apps permet de créer une iframe sans être développeur facebook et évite d'acheter et de configurer le certificat SSL.

L'application iframe.apps (http://www.facebook.com/iframe.apps) propose :

Can the name of the owner of the fan page be seen, or the name of the person who is using the API be seen? (I ask re retaining anonymity on a Facebook page.)
