Uploadcare storage limit and where it is stored

    Question:

I am using Jotform as the first touch point in a flow for collecting UGC video. I am hoping to integrate the Jotform with UploadCare - so Jotform would collect the UGC data and media release form agreements, and UploadCare would be my storage solution where the video would live. I anticipate up to 1 TB of video footage being submitted. My question: If I successfully integrate UploadCare into my Jotform, will my Jotform account need to have enough storage to house all the submitted videos? Or is integrating UploadCare (which will have enough storage space on my current plan) enough? Basically, I don't want the submitted videos to be stored on Jotform. I want them to only be stored on UploadCare. Please let me know if this is possible.

    Hi Harrison,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Please note that Uploadcare widget handles any file size up to 5TB, including images, documents, videos, and more, and will be directly stored on their platform. So this means that your storage limit in Jotform will not be affected.

You can also check out this guide on How to use the UploadCare.

    Hi Jefferson,
Thanks for this - do you know if the same is true for Box? Like, if I was
using Box as my storage solution, could I integrate a Box widget onto my
Jotform form, and have the uploaded video files sent directly to Box, and
    not be stored in Jotform?

    Hi Harrison,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, for the Box Integration, you still need to have enough Storage Space on your Jotform account because the files uploaded will be stored in Jotform Tables. If this is the case, you will need to upgrade your account to at least the Bronze Plan to collect a maximum of 1GB of upload space.

In case you reach your Jotform account's limit, you can delete the submissions, so you can free up some Upload Space Limit. Let me show you how:

    • On your My Forms page, select the form with the submissions you want to delete.
    • At the top of the page, click the Submissions button to open Jotform Tables.
    • Next, you can select multiple entries and click on the Delete button in the upper right corner of the page, then Move To Trash. Uploadcare storage limit and where it is stored Image 1 Screenshot 30
    • Select Trashed Entries from the Three Vertical dots icon in the top left corner of the page, click on the Select All button, choose the Delete Forever button, and then select Delete. Uploadcare storage limit and where it is stored Image 2 Screenshot 41

Now, that you have deleted your Submissions, you will need to Clear your Form's Cache to refresh your forms, and then you can go to your Account Settings where you can see the updated available space capacity.

Got it, I've just upgraded to Bronze, but we're expecting at least 100 GB of footage uploaded.

Ideally, we would be using Jotform to collect just the metadata information (name, email, and doc signatures), and then we'd integrate a storage solution to collect the video footage. Ideally, the upload for the video is integrated into the form itself, and so when folks upload the video, it goes straight into the storage, and does not take up any of Jotform's storage. Am I to understand that UploadCare is the only solution in which the uploaded file is uploaded only to the integrated storage space, and not to Jotform aswell?

    Hi Harrison,

Thanks for getting back to us. Yes, upload care can allow your form fillers to upload the images up to 5 TB. When the images and the video get uploaded, a link will be created and that way, you will see the documents directly in your File Upload Care portal. The Bronze plan will give you 1 GB of upload space. Here is a link to what's included in the Bronze Plan.
