    Hi Sheva,

Thanks for patiently waiting. If you are referring to adding the QR code to the form in the Invoice for the purchased products, you can add it to the Invoice from the PDF Editor. Let me show you how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Quick Menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
    2. Next, select PDF Editor.Invoice: Show QR Code for entrance Image 1 Screenshot 30
    3. Go to the Simple Invoice tab from the top bar.
    4. Next, go to the Form Fields tab in the Add Element pane on the left.
    5. Finally, drag and drop the QR code field to the desired location on your Invoice. That's it.Invoice: Show QR Code for entrance Image 2 Screenshot 41

You can scan the QR code using the QR code reader widget once the QR code is visible on the Invoice.

Just to be sure. I am seeking to add or have a QR code in the receipt/invoice that can be scanned at the entry of the event showing that the entry has been paid for.

    Hi Sheva,

To clarify, do you want the QR code created to show the name in the ticket or just the invoice number? Do you want also the QR code to be read in the submissions? It is possible to show an invoice number in QR code but you would have to use a number field or the random value generator widget. Here is a sample screenshot of my result:

May I know if you would use your own QR reader or Jotform QR read widget? After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Okay, we would like the QR Code to show the product and # of said product purchased

    i.e 1 ticket or 2 tickets

Would like the luxury of using our own QR reader, but it the jotform QR Read Widget is the only way, can multiple people use that widget?

    Hi Sheva,

Thanks for getting back to us. The Dynamic QR code can't read the products and quantity purchased from the Product List. However, let me find a workaround for you. I will get back to you.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help.

    Hi Sheva,

Thanks for waiting. To capture the ticket name and the quantity when the Dynamic QR code is scanned, you can do these steps to your form:

    • Add a Short Text field and set the default value to the ticket's name.

Invoice: Show QR Code for entrance Image 1 Screenshot 80

    • Add a Form Calculation widget to capture the total quantity purchased using the formula on the screenshot below.

    • Add another Form Calculation widget to capture the ticket name field and the quantity of the tickets. Check the formula below:

    • Finally, in the Dynamic QR code widget, add the field label of the form calculation widget that captures the ticket name and quantity.

    Here's the result:

You can scan the QR code now and it will return "65th Gala Ticket 4":

Now, you can hide the three fields since we only need their value in the backend. Also, don't forget to set your form to not clear the value of hidden fields. Here's how:

    • In Form Builder, click on Settings on the top of the page.
    • Click Show More Options.
    • Scroll down and select Don't Clear under Clear Hidden Field Values.
