You can use Conditional Logic or you can use the Form Calculation Widget to perform calculations in Jotform. In this guide, we will discuss how to use the widget to perform a calculation.
To set up a Form Calculation widget…
- Click the Add Form Element button in the Form Builder.
- Go to the Widgets tab.
- Search for Form Calculation and add it to your form.

- Open the Form Calculation widget’s Settings panel by clicking its wand icon.
- In the widget wizard, click the Add Field button to add the fields that will be a part of your formula.

Use the virtual numeric keypad to insert operators.
As an example, we’ll be using a simple multiplication fieldset where we calculate the product of the first two Number elements using a Form Calculation widget. The formula would be as follows:

- Click the Save button to save the changes.
Here’s an example form based on our steps above.
The Form Calculation widget is not limited to the example above, it would depend on the requirement you need or how complex your formula is.
Did you know that you can also use radio buttons, dropdowns, and checkboxes in calculations? Check out the “How to Assign Calculation Value“ guide to learn more.

I am also trying with decimal numbers but it doesn't work, it calculates values at random. Should I use a comma or a period? Using the comma they are forced to use the formula / 100 but in any case the result is often wrong.
I'm calculating two values for example A) Value 9 * B) Value 7 = result 63 . But I want to assign a minimum value to the result, for example, when my min value is 70 and my calculation result is 63, I want it to be displayed as 70 in the form. If the value is above 70, I want to see the actual calculation result.
I am trying to calculate the average of 6 numbers. The youtube videos don't quite give me enough instruction to make the calculations work. So if I add 6 number forms and a total form then I can add them okay but the averaging function or manual syntax for division doesn't work.
