Starter plan: Email forms to various supervisors

We have an employee leave form that the employee fills out page 1, then admin does page 2, and finally it goes to the supervisor specified on page 1 by the employee. The trigger to Page 3 is when admin completes their portion.

Do I have to have a paid subscription for the form to be routed to the various supervisors? Can this be done under the starter plan?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Tami,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Are you referring to the email recipient of the Notification email? For the Starter plan, you can only add one recipient. Also, will the form be submitted before it goes to the supervisor or the admin? Can you walk us through how the flow of the form works?

If you're also referring to approvals, keep in mind that you can add up to three approvers to your flow with our Starter plan. With paid plans (including Bronze, Silver, and Gold), you can add up to ten approvers, and with our Enterprise plan, there is no limit to the number of approvers you can have in your approval flow. Here's our Jotform Approval Help Guide that you can check out.

But if I ever miss any details, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

Employee completes page 1 and has to hit submit at the bottom of page 3 to move the form forward. At that point the form is currently set to go to Admin (me and I'm also the jotform user). Once I complete page 2 and hit "next" I need it to go to the Supervisor Email specified by employee. But it doesn't seem to be going there at this point.

    Hi Tami,

Thanks for getting back to us. I tested your form, and it seems that clicking on the Next button on page 1 will only redirect to page 2. This will not submit the form, and there's no way for the admin to continue filling out the form.

What I can suggest is to remove the Page Breaks, and Hide all the fields that need to be filled out by the admin and the supervisors. This way, the employee can submit the form, and then you can add the admin and the supervisor's email addresses to the recipient of the notification email. After that, you can edit the form after you receive an email notification and fill out your part. Here's an example of an email notification that includes the edit link of the submission:

Reach out again if you have any other questions.

I'll give that a try to see if that is a good process on our end. I thought I might need to upgrade our account to get the functionality we are looking for. Thank you!

    Hi Tami,

You're very welcome. I would also like to add that if you're expecting bulk submissions for this form, it would be better if you could upgrade your account so there would be no interruption to your work flow. Feel free to check out our pricing page as well as our guide on Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits for more information.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
