Sandrine, originally from France, relocated to

the United States with her family in 2010. Tr

ained as a neuro-psychologist, she made the ch

oice to temporarily set aside her career, dedi

cating herself to raising her four daughters w

hile fully immersing in American culture. Her

husband, a brain researcher, led their family

through various locations, including Baltimore

, MD, (John Hopkins university) and Durham, NC

(Duke university), before establishing roots

in Sioux Falls, SD, in 2019. Sandrine’s life i

s all about experiencing and providing nourish

ment and beauty through simple daily practices

such as walking in nature, dancing, crafting

a delicious meal, or connecting with others, a

way from technology. In 2022, she published a

book titled Simply French in America recountin

g her culinary journey from France to the US.

Her fervent commitment lies in empowering fami

lies to redirect their time and energy back in

to the heart of their homes—the kitchen. She f

ounded the Nourish Collective in 2024, whose m

ission is to cultivate a caring and inclusive

community where individuals can enhance their

physical, mental, and emotional well-being thr

ough a variety of nourishing practices. She is

a certified health coach, and a private chef.

Her favorite thing is to teach in-home cookin

g classes.

Course Description

More than just following a recipe, we’ll explore the cultural tradition of breaking bread together. Uncover the secrets of baguette-making in an inviting atmosphere, rich with stories and the irresistible scent of fresh bread. Immerse yourself in the heritage of French baking as Sandrine shares her personal journey from the charming landscapes of Southern France to kitchens across the American Midwest. Enjoy the satisfaction of creating and savoring authentic baguettes, and bring home 2 fresh baguettes and this French culinary skill to impress your loved ones. Ages 16+ (or 10+ with a participating adult). For an added bonus, you can opt to receive a baguette mold pan to continue your creations at home right away! You can also choose to add Sandrine Pilaz's book, Simply French in America: Homemade Family Meals and More.
