what is the difference between the notification email and autoresponder email?

Notification emails are sent each time the form is submitted to a predetermined address.  These would be the confirmation emails sent to you.

Autoresponder emails are sent to an address that is entered in the form.  These would be the confirmation emails that would be sent to the user filling out the form.
