    How do I add a donation line to the form without having to put in a preset amount?

    It looks like you already have a donation field in the form that doesn't have a preset amount.

    To include the value here into the Total Cost, simply add it into the Total Cost calculation widget as seen below. Once it's added, if the donation line is filled then it will be included in the calculation of the Total Cost.
