Respondents are being asked to enter an email address to a supposed to be a non-email field

In the field 'titel på uddannelse' it says that it requires an email address, which is not correct. I cannot put in a new field or edit the one which is there already without it saying that it requires an email address. As you can see, our responders/applicants have written their email twice due to this error, instead of the name of their education as we ask them to.

It's possible that instead of you using a regular textbox field for the "titel på uddannelse" field, you have used the email address field.
