Can I configure the date in the Configurable List widget?

I have included CSS in my configurable list so that only the month and year appear as fields to be filled. However, when submissions are received, the day (by default the date of submission) also shows.  Is there a way to rectify this?

Keep in mind that CSS only works design-wise, meaning you're only altering how the widget looks.

Just like all the other widgets, the Configurable List is treated as a single field and there's no way to change how the data will be received on the Submissions Page or Email Notifications.
