Hi JotForm
Sorry for what might a dumb question.
Is there anyway to connect a JotForm to an external database and/or an excel spreadsheet to pre-fill out some fields based on what is entered?
Is there an API or some other integration?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Don

It is possible to send the form submission to your own MySQL database using PHP. Please refer to this guide: How-to-send-Submissions-to-Your-MySQL-Database-Using-PHP.
You might also want to check JotForm Webhooks. Here's a guide: How-to-Setup-a-Webhook-with-JotForm.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use external values or database and populate the form fields. You need to manually enter the values and create multiple Update/Calculate Field conditions in your form. We do have an app called Field Prepopulator. Please refer to this link: https://prepopulate.jotform.io/.
We have an API documentation that you might want to check. Here's the link: https://api.jotform.com/docs/
In the API documentation, you'll see GET or POST submission. You can probably use this to retrieve submission data. Here's the URL: https://api.jotform.com/docs/#submission-id.
Hope that helps. Thank you.
