How can I insert text into a field based on previous fields selections?

Asked by PinkIguana on April 24, 2017 at 02:47 PM

I am hoping you can tell me how to perform what I believe is a somewhat unusual task.

I want to create a form where users select one sentence from a set of four sentences. They do this for five different sets of sentences, so that they have a total of five sentences. The piece I am missing is having those five sentences appear in a text box that the user can then edit before submitting. Is there a way to do this? Can you help me do this, or point me at resources that can help me figure itout on my own?

Please note that it is possible to insert text or the result of a calculation into a field, using conditional logic. We have a guide on that here: https://www.jotform.com/help/268-Conditional-Logic-Inserts-Text-Calculation-Into-A-Field

A more general guide on creating smart forms using conditional logic can be found here: https://www.jotform.com/help/57-Smart-Forms-Using-Conditional-Logic

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance please let us know. Thank you.
