Looking for a widget that would work like a check box field, but report date back in separate fields so I can sort easily

i know i can set up many radio button fields but this will make the spreadsheet associated with the responses very long and hard to work with. Any other suggestions? Hard to sort when all the responses are in the same cell, which is what you get when you use the check box field.

If I understand your requirement properly, you want to have one checkbox field with several options but you want the corresponding data to be mapped to several cells in the Submissions page during submission. Unfortunately, that is not possible. Each field in your form will always correspond to a cell on the Submissions page. You will have to create multiple fields for that.
